Mathematician and billionaire Charles Hoskinson, a co-founder of Ethereum and creator of IOG, the company behind Cardano, recently countered criticism of the Cardano chain in a recent post on X.
Hoskinson discussed updates like Hydra and Mithril, affirming their smooth operation and evolution.
A Cardano skeptic on X predicted that Hoskinson would stop discussing Hydra within six months, claiming it’s only suitable for specific purposes. They also accused him of bias against Ethereum while attempting to replicate its successes.
Hoskinson responded, “It’s getting delusion town now,” reminding critics that Hydra and Mithril are progressing well. He noted, “Hydra is live on mainnet and evolving fast. Mithril is live as well, a step towards a rich DA and light client strategy.”
He took a jab at Ethereum’s consensus issues and programming model, adding that Ethereum faces challenges from its own layer 2 ecosystem.
Hoskinson concluded, “We are living rent free in the maxi minds. I pity them.”
Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu’s lead developer, thanked Hoskinson for his speech at the Blockchain Futurist Conference, highlighting their commitment to action.
Kusama also spoke at the conference, discussing decentralization and SHIB’s ambitious role in the process.
Shiba Inu’s team launched the anticipated Shibarium Layer 2 solution, resolving initial issues and dispelling FUD about user funds. Kusama confirmed Shibarium’s status is now stable.
